Laila, the ‘dimpled’ queen of Tamil films, is back in Kollywood. The actress, who won the hearts of millions of fans with her innocent face and the twin-dimples, had been married for seven years now. ‘Comeback’ she is attempting no doubt but not as an actress despite retaining a reasonably slender frame.
Yes, Laila’s fans may not like this news but she is not going to charm them again with her flooring smiles. Her comeback in films would be in the form of making films and turning a producer spotting rare talents which lay unearthed. Laila, who has starred in hit films such as Nandha and Pithamagan, is now a mother of two children.
Reports said a couple of months ago that Laila was courted by many producers to star in their upcoming films. It is said that Bala, who was instrumental in Laila’s rise and reign in the Tamil film industry before she got married, offered her a prominent role in his upcoming untitled film. Laila, however, refused all those offers saying that she was now a ‘mother’ and won’t be able to allot time to star in films.
She has now launched her own production house with the intention of making quality films with technicians who have been toiling for long without proper break. She has also made it clear that she won’t be averse to starring in films produced by her if the roles(s) suited her style of acting!
