Directed by Raghav, Padam Pesum has Sayaji Shinde, Vivek and Seetha in prominent roles. Apple Blossom Creations, which made the Kannada hit film Dandupalya, has produced the film. Nisha Kothari (remember Amoha in Madhavan’s Jay Jay?), has sizzled with an ‘item number’ in the film.
The meet-the-press event in connection with the film’s release was held recently in Chennai. Speaking on the occasion, Raghav said “It’s a very important film in Sakthi’s career. Though it’s a pure commercial film made with a budget of Rs.10 crores, it would give a very refreshing feeling to moviegoers. We have ensured that the film would appeal to all sections of the audiences.”
Sakthi was very frank in his short speech. “I have achieved nothing so far in films. However, I’m counting a lot on this film which has given me a huge confidence. The trend in films is that while heirs of actors and actresses manage to do well as heroes and heroines, technicians’ sons like me find it very difficult to do so. I’m sure this film would change the trend,” he concluded.
