If you love cinema and are a Chennaite, then be prepared because the whole of Southern Industry will be in the city to celebrate Indian cinema’s centenary year soon !!! Yes, this once in a lifetime event will go down in the history of cinema as stars from neighboring states will fly down and spend some memorable moments under the unanimous umbrella of South cinema from September 1 – 3, courtesy – South Indian Film Chambers of Commerce (SIFCC).
C Kalyan, who heads this prestigious body – SIFCC says, “As everyone knows, we are making humble efforts to host this event with the aid of the state government. It is also a token of appreciation to yesteryear legends who we are indebted for their contributions to this art.
To celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema, there will be a three day event which will see the culmination of all the four southern industries on a common platform. I am happy to announce that eminent performers from Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada will gather at an indoor stadium.
We will start off with the Tamil and Malayalam artists who will start off the events on the first day, followed by the Telugu and Kannada artists on the next. On the final day, we will unite to honor the iconic contributors across industries from the silent to the digital era. The President and Chief Ministers of all the four states are expected along the 1,500 artists and technicians.”
