Fresh from the super-success of Singam-2, actor Suriya has opined that among all the directors he has worked with in his more than one-and-a-half-decade long career, he felt ‘more than comfortable’ working with Hari.
Hari, the director of Singam-2, had earlier directed Suriya in films such as Aaru, Vel and Singam. Success of Singam-2 couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time for Suriya, whose last two films in A.R. Murugadoss’ 7am Arivu and K.V. Anand’s Maatrraan haven’t performed as well as expected at the box-office. Singam-2, as such, marks Suriya’s return to winning ways.
Though many producers want to cast him in their films, Suriya announced last week the launch of ‘2D Entertainment’, his own production house. Gautham Menon and A.R. Murugadoss, who have directed Suriya in more than one film, are considered as important film-makers in Suriya’s career. Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram is likely to be Suiriya’s next film after Singam-2.
Though Suriya has done mega-hit films Kaakka Kaakka and Varanam Aayiram with Menon and Ghajini and 7am Arivu with Murugadoss, Suriya feels he is more at ease while working with Hari. “Compared to all the directors I have worked with so far, I sure feel very comfortable and friendly with Hari,” Suriya has said.
