Telugu filmmaker SS Rajamouli who shot to fame with his success in the Telugu historical drama Magadheera, was recently at the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival, where his recent success – Eega was showcased alongside other Bollywood flicks.
Now, back in town, he has some huge plans for his upcoming project which he claims to be a grandiose one by all means !!! Titled Baahubali, this will be a multilingual and apart from the big releases in several regional languages, it will also be dubbed in foreign languages for the international audience.
Further clarifying on certain details before heading for its shoots which are yet to commence, this ace filmmaker confirmed on his micro blog “We are using Arri Alexa XT, as I believe the latest digital cameras are better than conventional film cameras in many aspects. I shot very few shots with digital cameras in Eega. But Baahubali will be my first digitally shot project.”
Speaking further in response to the fan mails which requested him to make the Indian version of Inception in 3D he said, “Am not a fan of 3D technology. It is cumbersome & restrictive to shoot with the rig. There are very few theaters and all these factors deter me from thinking about 3D. Well Christopher Nolan hates 3D too…:)”
Baahubali – a high budget entertainer from the director, features the likes of Rana Daggubati alongside Anushka Shetty and Prabhas . Its shoots are expected to begin by July 6th, exactly a year after the release of Eega.
